LETS GO BAREFOOT “Take your shoes off”! ...and the whole class is looking puzzled! You have heard your coaches endless times talk about your stance and how essential it is to understand how our feet are the base of our stability. Going bare feet for some part of your training sessions (or even just walking barefooted) has been proven to be a tremendous yet simple tool that provides us with a number of benefits for stability, mobility, coordination, and balance. It differently activates your central nervous system, helps activate your glutes and core to improve balance and increased bodily awareness, and it strengthens the deep muscles in your foot which translates to improved strength of the ankles, knees, hips, and back. Sounds like a deal? It’s because it is!!!
XOXO,
Coach Ester
